When I got the chance to start working for Jenkem Magazine, my first project was turning Nic Dobija-Nootens’ and James Lee’s well-researched stories about the iconic VX1000 into a documentary. This camera had been a part of my life as well as many skaters like me since the 2000s, so I was ecstatic about getting to tell the story of how this outdated, mid-90’s Sony camcorder has remained a staple in skate video production over two decades later.
