At the beginning of 2023, Jenkem was releasing the third installment of their book series, filled with new articles not yet published on their website. To celebrate its release, I worked with the outlet to bring one of the book’s pieces to life. Telling the story about all the revolutionary changes the skate world witnessed take place in its culture in 2013, I took Andrew Murrell’s excellent research and writing as well as Andrew Diemer’s accompanying illustrations to create this piece.
