Ian Michna, the brains behind Jenkem Mag, had tried to get an interview with Steve Rocco for 6 years. Finally, in early 2024 following Rocco’s return to skating as an advisor to Sidewalk Distribution, Ian was able to get a hold of “The Man Who Souled the World” to ask him about his infamous influence on skate history as well as what he’s been doing that last two decades since his departure. When Ian reached out to ask me to help with this project , I jumped at the chance to come on as an editor along with Max Seeger and help tell this story.
